Aberham

Post by Aberham on Wed Feb 18, 2015 9:38 pm

Name: Aberham Barric.
Alias: The death seeker.
Age: 28
Class: Knight.
Sexuality: Strait.
Race: Human.
Kingdom: Mostly Hyrule, but he has been known to travel.

Personality: Aberham is a very courageous, if in-honorable man. There is a reason he took to adventuring rather than dirt farming, but there is also a reason he works for money instead of working for a cause, like a hero. He is a very superstitious sort and sends prayers to the goddess of power when in physical danger, and courage when he is about to give away. He believes he was given the blessing of shadows sneak to see through the darkness and conquer it. He should not be afraid of the monster, weather it be human or other. While on the outside he appears to be another foolish knight in armor. But he is actually well read and traveled. He can predict traps coming and can tell when he is being lied to. His mind has been twisted by his time in the dungeon, he can call upon vast amounts of willpower when his life is at stake but will downright refuse anyone who try's to get him to go into a mission he thinks is a suicide mission. He does not like hurting peaple, but he feels nothing when he does so. It's as if some part of him is broken inside and it will never quite be right ever again. When he is monogamous, he may have motives behind it.
Likes: Treasure, adventure, reading.
Dislikes: Being cheated, action, sleeping outside, people who want to peer under his armor. Monsters of any kind.
Motivations: Become wealthy: Aberham was raised as a dirt farmer! He sleeps outside most days, he longs to have an estate.
Be feared: Throughout his life he has been constantly cheated and abused. He wants legions of men to fear his power and action. Or at least a few.
Fears: Spiders: Once apon a time he was looting a dungeon when he disturbed a giant spider nest. He crushed several eggs and the mother descended from the sky and bit him several times. He had to abandon almost all of his earnings and crawl back to town to seek help. Now he hates the buggers.
Illusions he cannot see through: With his blessing he can see through darkness and illusion, when he cannot look through an illusion that is beyond him it reminds him just how powerless he is.

Height: Six feet six inches.
Weight: 280 ibs, 350 with full equipment.
Eye color: Blue.
Hair color: Golden brown.

History: Aberham was born as the thirteenth son of a dirt farmer. Yes a DIRT farmer, they would strategically plant several plants in a field of relativly high quality dirt and a few weeks before harvest kill all the plants, mix them in, and sell the dirt to people who wanted to garden or farmers who live in deserts. He had about enough money to afford a tunic which may or may not have been a potato sack before it was given to him. Pulling carts overflowing with soil was good for his mussels and when he was of age he left the farm and joined a small mercenary group.

This... is where things don't go well with Aberham. He was a member for a little over a year until they took a job to find an artifact in a dungeon that was to much for them. Monsters of all shapes and sizes descended apon them. The entrance was blocked and one by one they fell. They spent days inside, looking for another exit. But nighttime ambush, thirst, and fear drove them apart until only he remained. He found his way out, and collapsed right outside the door. This is where his story will start.

RP Sample: It was just him now... everyone else had succumbed to this place. If it was not the monsters, or the hunger, many just gave out to the fear. The feeling of hopelessness. He had been in every room in this dungeon three times and he still had not found another exit! He began to fear the worst... Maby he would never escape. He steeled his resolve and drew his sword. He was not going to go out like this! Like all the others who gave up and lost their will to fight! He made his way back to the entrance. Sword and shield in tow.

It was dark, they could not risk a fire giving them away. But he had never need a torch. His blessing was to see through the darkness, he knew that if he walked far enough through this part of the cave then light would eventually shine through. There were many foes that he could see, but that could not see him. He exhaled a breath he did not know he was holding. He knew this might be the end. He got in his stance, shield raised and sword at the ready. Two steps, and a bubble, a skull cloaked in fire spotted him. It charged directly at him through the air. Childs play He brought his sword up and cleaved it down so hard the sound of bone crunching filled the entire room. Three steps more, a stalfos, and armored skeliton with a sword and a shield, spotted him and raised his weapon. bahh, skeletons are easy he got close enough and baited him to attack. When it swung its sword he blocked it with his shield and taking his sword in both hands swept right through both of it's legs.

This let the skeleton helpless on the ground, one mighty armored boot to the head was enough to finish it. Five solid steps forward... He came to a part of the entrance that was quarded by no less than ten octorocks. He grit his teeth and raised his shield as barrage after barrage of stones were hurled at him. He refused to change pase, knowing that slowing down meant death and speeding up meant to weaken his stance. His armor saved him from a great amount of pain. Two moblins, pig men armed with spears were next. More challenging... The first one charged him immediately and his wooden spear broke against his solid steel shield. He raised his sword and ended the creature, this left and opening however, for the other to jab his spear right into a gap in the side of his armor.

Aberham cried out, a quarter pain and three quarters anger. He flexed the muscles in the right side of his body and the tip of the spear broke of painfully. Another sword swipe and the moglin was finished. Six steps forward, what was this at the end of the tunnel? The tiniest traces of light. He felt courage surge through him, he moved a little faster, but every step was even more sure than the last, it's rhythm even more sound with every stride. Six Lanmola blocked his path, giant centipedes moved with no discernible order. He danced between them, his sword struck home on many of it's targets, he left only a couple behind but gained two and a half giant bites that penetrated his armor. The light was much closer now, much brighter. He could feel his strength declining, but adrenalin and testosterone was blooded his blood via his strong pumping heart. He reached the main part of the barricade against them. All manner of small creature, cave octopi, poisonous lizards, warg pups that were more dangerous then fully grown wolves.

He let out a cry and stepped into the crowd. He ducked blows, he dodged projectiles, he threw some enemy's into others, he swung his word more times then he could count, then he beat a path through them all with his shield and found himself at the door. He had made it... He had made it! The monsters would not put a single foot forward into the light, the light of noon. "The sun..." Aberham said, dropping his sword and letting his shield roll to the ground. "I forgot what it felt like." Then he dropped to his knee's, fell over, and collapsed into unconsciousness.
