The royal warlord’s beloved spouse gave birth to a daughter, which the warlord gave his newborn daughter the name “Yang Qilin” which meant “Flaming Unicorn”. As a child, Qilin studied literatures and trained in combat under the tutelage of her father. One day, Qilin was not just gifted in intelligence and combat but she was also harnessed magical abilities. To put a good use for her gift, the royal warlord sent his daughter to be trained by the Brocade-clad Guards, the emperor’s trusted protectors of the Empire who were excellent in both swordsmanship and offensive magic abilities.

She continued to serve the Emperor and his Imperial family, Qilin became close to her relatives whom she did not met before. During that time, the Dragon Empire was thick with hidden conspiracies and plots thus it was the duty of Brocade-clad Guards to root them out and put an end to them. Qilin was considered to be the best Guard as she often arrested conspirators and destroy threats that endangered the Imperial family. Impressed with her loyalty and bravery, the Emperor appointed his niece as his personal Dragon Guard, a post which was considered to be an honour among the Brocade-clad Guards.

The emperor was worried because he knew his brother would not come back late so he sent Qilin back to see them. On her way back to her family estate, a wounded constable came to her and told her that the infamous Flying Condor, a ruthless assassin and thief were assaulted Qilin’s family. It was a long chase until two ships collided against each other during the stormy night at the Zora Seas of Hyrule and both sides boarded on each other’s ships. However, the Flying Condor proved to be a former Dragon Guard and he was able to overpowered Qilin by sending her to the mast of the ship. Qilin’s head was hit onto the mast and unconscious thus the Flying Condor managed to escape by abandoned his ship. Both ships were sunk along with both pirates and Imperial navy crews including Qilin herself.

Arrival At Labrynna and Born A Skylark
As her body wash ashore, a group of Labrynna sailors founded her and brought her back to their encampment. As she woke up, the sailors questioned her but the woman unable to remember anything... even her own name and why she was in Hyrule. Even though she was amnesiac, the woman remembered her combat techniques and a few spells. After she tried her skill in sparring, the Labrynnans never saw the woman’s fighting style before and yet it was a graceful technique, thus they named her Skylark since her fighting skills were graceful and she was still unable to remember her name. From that day on, Skylark thanked her saviours and began her journey in Hyrule.

RP Sample:
”Lynna... Lynna City...” Skylark muttered by herself while she looked at the map and walked on the ground. It was few days after she left the sailors who saved her life and now she was recommended to go to Lynna city for help. It was strange for her, why was she looked different than the others around here? They said that her facial appearance was different than any other races of Hyrule, Skylark suspected that she was not an inhabitant of Hyrule. ”Who am I? How did I end up here?” Skylark muttered for a moment. Then suddenly, her head started to pain and she cringed, dropped her map onto the ground.

She groaned in pain and pressed her hand onto a nearby tree. A few images popped inside her head but Skylark saw them barely. It was a ceremony, Skylark herself dressed in blue and she was chanting... something like a creed or an oath. Then, she saw herself attacking a group of men with her sword and she shot a bolt of fire from her palm against them. Then alas, she saw herself holding an elderly man who died in her arms, Skylark saw herself crying when she was holding the dead body of an elder. Then the images dissipated and Skylark regained her sight, she was sweating and she sat down under the tree.

”... What... happened to me back then?” Skylark panted as she asked herself. Then she felt something, sorrow and grief within her heart when she remembered the face of the elder in her broken images. The elder was a close person to him... more like a father. Regardless, Skylark got up and picked up her map, she needed to continue forward and hopefully she would found an answer for her question.
