Mission Source: Link

He heard that there were bandits roamed around these parts and robbed people off, thus they appeared in numerous areas and gone before the guards came. Bastian had no doubt that these bandits were organized and well-prepared, he needed to be careful in this. Furthermore, he was not alone because he was tasked to cooperate with another adventurer, which Bastian had no idea who was it.

He just needed to get this job done and he admitted that he did not good with strangers. It was not that he was a anti-social but it was because that his trust for strangers was gone two years ago. Thanks to the bastards who betrayed his trust, Bastian was no longer to trust the strangers. Right now he had no choice but to wait for his new acquittance, otherwise Bastian himself already gone to track down the bandits.

Bastian waited for the man's arrival as he leaned himself on a tree, he adjusted his bowstring and checked his bow for a moment, then he put his quiver down on the ground and counted the arrows in there.

A man in full armor approached Bastion. His arms was black and very well made. He had a red cape that flowed behind him in the wind. He had a sword as his side, a black shield on his arm that gave off a minor like reflection, and he had a spear on his back that matched the rest of his apparel.

"Good, your not late." He took out a well writen contract from a satchel bag and handed it to the archer. "A standard extermination clause, with edits for those we are hunting since they are human and with detailed dscriptions on the amount of pay we will both relieve. I have written this alongside our employer and both of us have signed, all that's left to do before we set out for their camp is to have you sign it." Aberham offered bastion a knife. Both his and their employers names were both written in red, he intended for him to sign in blood.

Then someone appeared behind him and Bastian noticed him, he pulled his face mask on and covered his head with the hood. It was a man in knightly armor and Bastian doubted that he was one of the Hylian Knights, that armor was well-made but mysterious. The knight was glad that Bastian was not late, the Waystrider nodded slightly with his eyes closed. When the knight handed the written contract to him, Bastian received it and placed it in his hand, gazed at it for a moment. When the knight mentioned that Bastian must sign it in order to receive payment and he offered him a knife, Bastian turned his silvered eyes from the paper to the knight, he gave him his cold glare. "..." the ranger remained in silent.

Without saying anything, Bastian received the knife and he cut his thumb with it, a small drop of blood came out from the cut. Instead of signing it with his bloodied thumb, the ranger reached his hand to his pocket and grabbed a signet ring out. It was a signet ring of the Waystriders, Bastian used it to stamp on every contracts he taken. Smeared his blood upon the signet ring, Bastian stamped the ring onto the contract and the emblem of the Griffon was stained on the paper. "It is done," Bastian handed over the paper to the knight and pressed his cut thumb on his cloak to stop the bleeding.

As the blood was dried, Bastian picked up his quiver and hanged it across his back then he picked up his bow and adjusted the bowstring one last time. "Time is the essence, let's get this over with." Bastian made his move first and walked forward. If he was not mistaken, the last bandits' raid was around here somewhere and he hoped that they leave some tracks or leftovers behind, Bastian was a skilled in tracking and he was thankful to his teachers in Woods of Winter as well as his Hylian teacher Mara.

The contract glowed as he pressed the ring into it. The blood shone all the colors of the rainbow for a second then it calmed down. Th blood contract was sealed. Aberham had really screwed him in the fine print, Bastion would have to receive his check off to finish the contract. But you would have needed to be a Mage or a lawyer to see that, and he did not even write it himself.

"Yes, we're in route to their last attack if I am not mistaken. It will not be easy to track them down, I hope you have experence with such things because my own experence with such things is more limited than I would have liked.... There is a war coming, Ganondorf is back. Where will you stand when the time comes?" The people of Hyrule were enemys to him, but he lived in Hyrule before he joined up. Perhaps this man could be an ally to him....

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Ehrandil Thu Mar 26, 2015 11:52 am

When he walked on, the knight started a conversation with him but Bastian ignored him and he kept walking on his own path. He was ignored him until the knight mentioned that a war coming soon, a name that the Waystriders despised was mentioned and the knight questioned which side he will take on. From acquittance to suspicion, Bastian halt his steps and turned his head across his back, he glared deeply at the knight but then he turned his head back and moved again. "I'm only here for the contract, nothing more." Bastian said bluntly to the knight, he meant that he did not want to have any conversation and focus himself on the mission. Even if the knight attempted to continue, Bastian himself continued to ignore him unless he wanted to turn the conversation to an argument.

The knight's question already lingered in his mind but Bastian himself already had the answer; of course he will choose to side with those who will stand against the accursed Ganondorf. He refused to reveal his answer to those who he did not know of, especially the knight with him. Furthermore the vision he had few weeks ago and the hooded figure mentioned that a force of darkness will cover the lands, did the figure meant that it was Ganondorf? If it was true, then the lands needed the hero to defeat him and Bastian must find him before it was too late.

He began to treated the knight with suspicion but he kept it quiet to himself, just need to get the quest done and be off with it. Now where the hell were those bandits? Then he found something, Bastian raised his hand to the knight as a sign of stop. It was a campfire and furthermore, it was already abandoned but not for long ago. He crouched down and inspected the campfire, Bastian scanned the campfire and looked at its surrounding, he saw couple of footprints and he inspected them. "There are about 4 or 5 individuals camped here, and this place was abandoned about an hour ago, judging by the dimmed fire in the campfire." Bastian said as he got up, he smelled something. "And it is reeks with cheap ale, it was bandits no doubt." Bastian said as he looked at the footprints which was leading to a small path not far from him and the knight's location. "There." Bastian said to the knight and he began to follow the footprints which might be lead to the bandits' lair.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Aberham Thu Mar 26, 2015 12:11 pm

Boy did his guy not like much of him. All of these dirty looks and such, he kept looking at him like he had just broken wind. Well he would get the awnsers out of him some way, he was constantly looking for new recruits to feed into Ganondorf's growing army. if they were loyal to him instead of Ganon then it was even better. He already had six Iron Knuckes behind him. Taking on an up and coming sniper might also be good for his units combat ability... He would win him over some way or another.

"Fires still hot, gods, this place reeks. Come on, they can't have gone far." Since there would be bandits soon he took the lead. He was not as good at tracking but he was an expert at spotting traps. Eventually they stood atop a hill overlooking five men walking across a field. "Well this is far enough, I'll keep them in range and you provide sniper support."

He hopped of the side and began sliding down the side of the steep, rocky, dry hill. It looked out of place in their surroundings. But it was only this side. He kicked up a great amount of dirt and he was spotted halfway down. Once he was at the bottom he slowed down into a walk and drew his sword. A man in the back alerted his ally's and they all turned around. Aberham pointed his sword at him. "Alright, all of you. Drop your weapons now and you'll get a quick death and all the proper funeral rights." Most of them, being uneducated laughed. Though one of them looked a bit terrified, like he would be happier to run.

"Hahaha! Pfft! You think you scare us big guy? It's five against one! Hand over all your money or else-" he got cut off by his freind who was shivering. "No jobs! Let's just get out of here. This guy looks like-" But he got cut off by Aberham, who had just cleaved clean through the unarmored head of the man he was just addressing. The top half fell off like a slab of beef on the floor. "I am the black knight, and I do not tolerate such disrespect." The others drew weapons and got ready to engage, no one wanting to make thanked the first move.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Ehrandil Fri Mar 27, 2015 2:20 pm

OOC AND IMPORTANT!:

There was the bandits, five of them just as he predicted. Before he could do anything, the knight went first before him, much to Bastian's chagrin. Was the knight tried to be bold and bravado in front of him? One thing the knight was right about was the position where Bastian stood was a good vantage point, a perfect place for firing his arrows. Bastian crouched down in front of a tree and put his quiver beside his knee, he reached to his bow and placed it in his hand. Readied himself, Bastian grabbed an arrow and nocked it on the bowstring as he watched the knight recklessly revealed himself to the bandits.

At first it was a conversation but Bastian could not hear it, the Waystrider pulled the bowstring and aimed the arrow at one of the bandits. Much to his shock, the conversation turned into a bloody murder because the knight cleaved off one of the bandits before he could reach his weapon, he was unarmed. "... Farore's mercy," Bastian muttered with slight disturbance, did the knight was having his pleasure of beheaded a bandit just like that? As the other bandits began their attack on him, Bastian wasted no time of idling by. He released his first arrow at one of the bandits, it pierced through his neck and his tumbled on the ground. With his haste Bastian grabbed another arrow from the quiver and nocked it on the bowstring, the Waystrider released his second arrow and hit on another bandit in the head, he fall onto the ground. Before he could reached his hand for another arrow, a projectile hit onto the tree where Bastian hid himself and the tree bark fragments scattered in the air, forced Bastian to covered his eyes and hid himself behind the tree. It was a crossbow bolt and it almost took Bastian's life.

As he peeked from his cover, Bastian noticed a shadowy individual who was reloading his crossbow. With haste, Bastian grabbed his third arrow and nocked it on the bowstring but this time, Bastian aimed quickly and released it. The arrow flew and struck onto the individual's crossbow and it shattered, then the individual abandoned his broken crossbow and made a run, leaving his compatriots behind. Bastian looked back at the knight who was busy with the bandits below, he believed that the knight could take care of himself so Bastian grabbed his quiver and put it across his back, he began to pursuit the mysterious crossbowman.

As the individual ran and leave the bandits behind, he looked back but suddenly an arrow flew past his face and hit a tree behind him. The individual stopped and saw Bastian was right in front of him, with his second arrow ready. "Your next move..." the Waystrider pulled the arrow "...will be your last." Bastian warned the individual but something made him lowered his bow, the individual was more younger than him thus... it was a girl. "How old are you, lass?" Bastian asked but the girl did not answered, she just stood there with her terrifying look. "... T... Thirteen, ser." the girl stammered and Bastian lowered his bow while approached the girl, he grabbed by her collar and pushed her onto a tree, the Waystrider's size was bigger than her. "You're thirteen and you lived in banditry?! Have you no shame in yourself?!" Bastian scolded and released the girl who was sat down onto the grasses.

"I... I don't have a choice! The Sunken City was no place for me! I ran away and I joined the bandits to feed myself!" the teenager began to sniveled but Bastian did not taunted her for she dropped her tears, the Waystrider pitied her. "Farore preserves me... You're long way from home, lass." Bastian sighed and he rubbed his nape, "What about your parents?" Bastian crouched in front of the teenager as if he tried to calm her down. "I... I don't know... I was born in an orphanage and the caretaker there told me that ma and pa died in a battle. That's all I know." the teenaged female bandit sniffed and wiped her tears off, Bastian pulled his mask down and revealed his face, and his gentle smile which made the teenage girl calmed a little.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Aberham Fri Mar 27, 2015 3:34 pm

Just as the bandits began to mount a counter attack on Aberham one of them got an arrow directly in the throat. He gasped a bloody gasp and it was all he could manage before he fell over and tried to catch a breath that he needed so desperately to survive. He did not. When the blood landed on Aberhams helm he smiled, nothing quite brought joy to him like killing another man. Even if he did not do the deed in this case.

A bandit called out "SNIPE-" But could not add an R to that because his frontal lobe had an arrow in it. He fell over and his heart stopped almost immediately. So before Aberham stood two poorly trained, poorly armed bandits, one did not look like he was done growing yet and one was to well read for his own good. He actually had piss running down his leg. Of all the challenged Aberham had ever faced, this was by far the easiest. He smiled and looked him in the eye. "You were right to fear me." He impaled the man and got blood everywhere. He scowled at the other one. "You were not." He righteously took his sword in two hands and cut the mans belly clean open. His intestines fell out and when he fell forward crying like a little babe Aberham brought his foot down on his skull, caving it in and killing him instantly. It exploded like a watermelon.

His job done he ran after his comrade who was chasing another archer, a crossbow woman by the looks. Unlike him he could see directly though shadow with his gift and he was always violent. He did not want to catch a crossbow bolt to a chink in his armor. He arrived just in time to hear him mumble something about her parents and her say clearly something about being an orphan. Aberham walked up to them standing at about a four meter range with his sword out. He looked like an absolute horror show. His sword was dripping with blood and he had a particularly large amount of gore on his torso, shoulders, and feet. He shook a little bit of brain off of his boot and said. "Well contracts not done. Kill her then and we'll be off."

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Ehrandil Sat Mar 28, 2015 1:26 pm

He heard heavy footsteps behind him and Bastian knew that the bloodthirsty knight was approached him and the girl from distance. "Remember, when I draw my arrow that is the signal for you to throw something onto my eyes and run as fast as you can, never return to the bandit hideout." Bastian whispered quietly to the girl and he got back onto his feet and put on his mask. Bastian turned around and witnessed the knight who was covered in the blood of the bandits he killed, Bastian remained silent and in his mind, this knight got a monster in him. When he mentioned that the contract was not done and the girl must be disposed of, Bastian turned around look at the girl and he reached his hand to his arrow. "Very well." Bastian feigned his speech and touched the arrow and draw it out. Before he could aimed her, the girl grabbed a handful of soil and dried leaves in her hand and spread them across Bastian's eyes, she did what he asked. Bastian shut his eyes tightly and dropped both his arrow and bow onto the ground, he covered his eyes with his hands and groaned in pain.

Saw this as a chance for her to escape from her gruesome fate, the girl stood up and ran away from the Waystrider and headed into the treeline, she was quick on her feet and she was disappeared within the treeline. Bastian regained his sight while groaned in pain but for him, it was worth it. Bastian rubbed his eyes and looked up at the knight, he crouched down to pick up the arrow and his bow. As he reached to his weapons on the ground, Bastian realized that the girl left something behind... it was a map which lead to the bandits' hideout. "... Clever lass," Bastian thought with a smile beneath his mask. Bastian picked it up along with the arrow and memorized the map with his eyes, he put the arrow back into his quiver and he picked up his bow. Without waste any time, Bastian approached the knight and gave him the map, he walked away from him. "Their camp is not far from the place where we ambushed the bandits, we need to cross an old wooden bridge to get there." Bastian said to the knight and he glared at him once more. "I don't recall that there is a girl among the bandits in the contract." Bastian said to the knight and he walked away. Bastian already studied the contract before he arrived at the Hyrule Fields in order to make sure that he will not lost any single detail in it.

He approached the place where they ambushed the bandits earlier, Bastian witnessed the bodies of the bandits drowned in their own blood but he already get used to this kind of scenery, he already fought and survived the civil war back in Holodrum Plains in the past. Then he walked past the bodies and continued on, the Waystrider saw the old bridge from distance and no doubt that if he and the knight cross there, they will reach to the bandits' hideout in no time. Before he could continue, Bastian felt something was eyed at him. He looked around and saw there was a large moose who was watched him from distance. Both of them exchanged eye contact for a few seconds and the moose galloped away into the trees, it was not been seen again. "..." Bastian remained silent and continued to walk towards the old bridge.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Aberham Sat Mar 28, 2015 2:37 pm

Aberham watch as the girl through dirt into Bastions eyes. He crouched down and got ready to stab her before he stood up. Hell, he would be no good for the army if some chick could slip a dagger into his heart that easily. He immediately wondered why the hell the two were so close since he still had his bow before he realized she must have ambushed him. As she ran away he ticked down the distance where he could have thrown his sword to kill her, where he could have thrown his spear to kill her, and where he could use a battle spell to summon a throwing ax and hit her with that. When she was out of even his archers distance he stood back up.

"Well we only get paid for five either way." When they left he said. "Don't follow the map. It is almost certainly a trap. You see this bridge here? Willing to bet they did something to it. Slip a bomb on a pressure plate under it, saw through the support beams. Killing an entire camp of bandits is more my cup of tea. Lets stop here. " Aberham shook the blood off of his sword and stood in front of Bastion, between him and the bridge. "You were good in that last fight, I would like to extend an offer to you." His sword gleamed in the sunlight.

"I am the black knight and I am the champion of Ganondorf. All the way at the top of the chain of command, just below him and his lady. Join us, the war is quickly going in our favor and we need all the people we can get with your talents. You'll work right under me, I'll see it that you can make three times as much on this job, without traveling far or working with strangers." The way he talked was Benevolent. But the way he stood with his sword ready made it sound like it was not a question, but a command.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Ehrandil Sun Mar 29, 2015 2:47 pm

He almost annoyed with the knight as he mentioned that the bridge might had traps on it. If there were traps on it, how did the bandits cross the bridge or made their way here without crossing it? The Knights spoke about the bandits as if they were pile of ants to him and waiting for him to stomp on them, Bastian did not care about it and he did not wish to know more of the details. When the knight told to stop here, Bastian halt his steps and turned towards to his attention. The knight praised the Waystrider and he wanted to extend an offer to him. "I'm listening," Bastian said to him.

His suspicion turned alarmed as Bastian heard from the knight that he was one of the Ganondorf's followers and a commander of his army. He asked him to join them and he will get paid in thrice amount of payment than he earned currently, he needed someone of his talents such as Bastian himself. No wonder he asked him of which side will he join if the war descended upon these lands. Bastian remained quiet after what he heard, it was like an offer that one cannot refuse but Bastian already had an answer for the Knight's offer. "Sounds promising but sadly, I'm not for hire in the present because there are other important matters that I need to attend to." Bastian said to the Knight politely. It was an excuse actually and a Waystrider will not bow one's head to the malicious alignment even facing the Death itself, a Waystrider fought for good and safety of the people within these lands. Before he could say anything, an arrow struck on the ground, two feet away from Bastian. Looking from the place where he was stood with the knight, Bastian realized that another bandits were armed with bows and arrows but they did not cross the bridge, they fired the arrows from their place.

More arrows came and hit onto the ground, Bastian quickly avoided the arrows and hid himself behind a tree. "Your prediction is right, they do place traps on the bridge." Bastian said to the knight as he reached his hand to his quiver, he grabbed an arrow out and nocked it on the bowstring. "We better find a way to cross over the bridge otherwise we'll be corpses!" Bastian shouted to the knight and he leaned out from his cover, he aimed his arrow high and released it from his bow. The arrow flew in the midair and landed onto one of the bandits, he fell. "I'll try to distract them! Go find a way to go over there! Go!" Bastian shouted and he fired another arrow blindly from his cover.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Aberham Sun Mar 29, 2015 3:28 pm

Aberham was dissipointed to say the least when his offer was declined, looks like this one would just be killed like the rest. He did not even flinch when arrows started raining down upon them. He merely turned to the side and raised his shield. Which was good, because it caught no less than three arrows right in the center. Looks like they were gunning for him rather than his partner.

When he was told to cross the bridge and take them out he nodded and charged forward. Shield raised high. A few arrows clanged uselessly off of his shield and heavy armor and as he came up to the bridge he sheathed his sword and removed the lance from his back. If anyone else where to try and do this it would be suicide, but he used the spear as a pole vault to take to the air and held onto it. He swung it in a circle until he stabbed the ground, safe on the other side. He put his spear away and drew his sword. "Cunning trick, want to see mine?"

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Post by Ehrandil Mon Mar 30, 2015 1:00 pm

Bastian released one arrow and another but the bandits were too far from his reach, his Hylian bow was not a longbow which favored by his kin. Suddenly, Bastian witnessed that the knight crossed the bridge and much to his surprise, he crossed over in the midair and landed there... how did he done that kind of feat? Bastian was little bit amazed with that kind of feat, no one could done more than that. Regardless, he assumed his role to support the knight from distance. Peeked from his cover, Bastian witnessed the bandits switched their attention to the knight, they dropped their bows and drew their swords, they began to attack him. "They're baying for death." Bastian shook his head slightly, he reached his hand to his quiver. Suddenly, he heard a loud angry cry from behind and he turned around, Bastian was surprised by the presence of another group of bandits. The bandits on the other side was a distraction, this was an ambush.

One of the bandits tried to cleaved the Waystrider with his axe but Bastian ducked down, the bandit's axe struck and stuck onto the tree where Bastian used as his cover. With haste, Bastian grabbed an arrow from his quiver and jabbed its arrow tip onto the neck of the bandit. After one down, another bandit tried to swing his weapon at Bastian but the Waystrider dodged it and jabbed the bandit's neck with the tip of his arrow. Another bandit came from the distance, Bastian quickly nocked his bloodied arrow onto the bowstring of his bow and he aimed it, he released the arrow and it put down the bandit quickly. He reached to his hand for another arrow in his quiver but he realized that it was empty, Bastian ran out of arrows. A loud shout was heard from behind and Bastian turned around, a large sized armored bandit with his heavy axe charged against him... the bandit leader.

Without any arrows or time to pick the ones on the ground, Bastian ran away from the armored bandit. The bandit swung his heavy axe and he fell down a tree, Bastian considered himself lucky that he was not that tree. The armored bandit was possessed brute strength but he was slow in movement, which Bastian had. Suddenly, Bastian stepped onto a wooden trunk and he tripped over, a careless movement. As he got up back onto his feet, the bandit leader was in front of him and he swung his huge arm towards the Waystrider. Bastian was impacted by the bandit leader and he crashed onto a tree, he landed on the ground and dropped his bow. His back was painful and he had to braced his chest with his arms and groaned in pain deeply. In the midst of pain, Bastian noticed there was an arrow struck on the ground but at the same time the bandit leader already hold his axe high, aimed at the Waystrider... The knight better came here otherwise it would be a worse fate for the Waystrider.

The force oposingAberham looked much greater from a distance. In actuality it was three archers. He activated his trick, it was his ability concentration. Adrenalin flooded his veins, the battlefield seemed to almost slow down for him. He suddenly saw weaknesses in the fighting form of all three at once and moved in to deal with them. He dispatched the first one so swiftly the others harly saw what he had hit him with. He had hit a vital artery going back up from his leg, the man fell down thinking that the wound would not be that bad, but he was doomed to bleed out.

One of them charged his with his sword overhead, without even looking he summoned a magical ax which imbedded itself cleanly into his unprotected chest, it took off two of the valves on his heart, not that h was aiming for them specifically. The very last was stumbling back after having seen all of this in just a few seconds. Aberham raised his sword and cleaved through his kneck, the bandit failed to block fast enough. He turned around and saw his partner being attacked he had put up a good fight, but he should help him.

He crossed the bridge the same way as last time, seeming to almost go faster this time. He tried to kill them bad it leader with a flying spinning slash.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

He thought that his time had come but Bastian was wrong, the bandit leader's back armor were pierced and shattered, his back was slashed and the leader screamed, forced to dropped his axe. He switched his attention from the bandit leader to behind him, it was the knight who came to his rescue. Took it as an opportunity, Bastian reached his hand to the arrow on the ground and nocked it onto the arrow. He got back onto his feet and aimed directly at the bandit leader's head in close range. Bandit loosened the arrow and it struck onto the forehead of the bandit leader, he knelt onto the ground and collapsed... the bandit leader was dead.

Even though it was a victory and the bandits had been put down, Bastian was injured and he was ran out of arrows. He slung his bow across his back and limped himself over the body of the bandit leader. "We had them all and..." Bastian looked at the knight and nodded to him with his eyes closed, "... Thank you." Bastian thanked the knight. It was strange, if the knight was worked under Ganondorf why would he risked himself to save him? He could choose to let Bastian died at the hands of the bandit leader. Regardless, the knight saved his life and Bastian was grateful about it... even though he was his enemy.

Then, something came out from the bushes and it was the wild moose which Bastian saw earlier, this time it came close to the Waystrider. Bastian caressed the moose's face and he climbed onto its back, and whispered to its ear. "Norr." Bastian said in his Waystrider dialect and the moose understood it. He looked at the knight, "I am going back to recuperate myself and resupply. I might be late to claim the bounty, you can claim it first if you are need them fast. Furthermore," Bastian knew what he was going to say next. "Even though you're serving Ganondorf, you still have some sense of honor in you... Like you saved me from the insolent wretch behind me. Are you sure that you're leading your life right under him?" Bastian asked and he began to galloped the moose away from the knight, he looked back one last time at the knight. "I hope we won't cross paths again, sir knight... I bid you farewell and may the Wind guides your path." Bastian said to the knight and nodded him, he patted onto the moose's head. "Bradska!" Bastian shouted and the moose immediately sped away with the injured Waystrider on its back.

Clear Bandit's Nest Empty Re: Clear Bandit's Nest

Well that was weird to say the least. Aberham checked his vision at first to make sure that he had just seen what he had just seen. Well gods be damned, he had met a moose whisperer and compound mouse rider. He smiled to him and said. "Oh trust me, I know what I am doing under him. You fought well, perhaps our paths might cross again." He was glad when the Waystrider told him that he was honorable even if it did come with an insult to the king he had pledged his allegiance to. He spun the blood off of his weapon and looked back at the bridge. He had cleared the thing by quite a bit and he was impressed with himself. Heh. Just imagine what would have happened if we had gone over that bridge. He though to himself. No sooner had he finished thinking this that a large bird flapped in near the bridge. It was looking for a place to perch itself. Aberham held out his hand and told it to shoo but it was to late. The bridge was so sensitive that when the little bird set itself down not a second later did the crap load of bombs under it go off. The blast deafened him and went way over the trees. He held his shield out to protect himself and a few seconds later he looked at the new crater rapidly being filled up with water. It would form a pond, he thought.

Then a piece of wood that had fallen from the sky clanged off his helmet. "GODS DAMN IT!"

Aberham left the mission shortly after.
