Oberyn
- Spoiler:
Alias: Obi, Rin
Age: 600 years old.
Class: Ranger
Sexuality: Straight
Race: Sheikah
Special features: Tan skin, pointed ears and red eyes that are common among the Sheikah. He also has white hair and multiple tattoos across his torso, though these are rarely visible.
Personality: Oberyn is a very kind and gentle person, who enjoys helping others as much as he can in any way he can. He generally has a very light disposition, often joking with others and being very carefree. He enjoys the company of others, often finding it relaxing to be around people, even if nothing is happening. Oberyn is very polite and respectful, often refraining from speaking in a disrespectful manner even against his enemies, though he is not always successful.
However, Oberyn is also known to show a much more serious side. In times of trouble, where his combat expertise is needed more than anything else it seems that he loses the ability to be carefree. It is in times like these where Oberyn becomes cold and calculating and will go out of his way to do anything for the greater good. However, returning from this state of mind is not an easy process for him and often sends him into a state of severe depression. Despite this, he has had hundreds of years to learn how to deal with times of war and has always been capable of returning to his carefree self and in the end it is all worth it for him. Oberyn will always sacrifice his well being to protect others, because failing to protect people is the single most painful thing Oberyn has ever gone through and strives to ensure it never happens again.

History:
- Spoiler:
- From the time Oberyn was a young boy, he knew that it was the duty of his people to be the guardians of the Royal Family of Hyrule. It was a destiny that Oberyn gladly accepted and regularly looked forward to. He had always been a very brave and protective child, often times throwing himself in harms way just to keep others safe. In fact many times he would not even know the person he was helping. Oberyn had always been a selfless child and was truly gentle and caring. However, when his training as a ranger began he found that he was faced to do things that were against his beliefs. Many things went against who he was as a person and for a time he believed that his life long dream of protecting the royal family would be at a cost much too high for him to pay. He strayed away from his training and looked towards other things, even if it meant he would be shunned by his family. It wasn't until his lack of strength and conviction caused him to fail in saving a close friend that he realized he need to change, that there was such a thing as too gentle. It was then that he resumed his training as a ranger and fully accepted his destiny to protect the royal family. The most difficult of which, was learning the ability to kill. Having to learn how to kill was a difficult thing for him and continues to be even hundreds of years later. There has never been a single life that Oberyn has taken that did not weigh heavily on him, no matter how insignificant.
- Spoiler:
- It was a cool day in the forest, light touched everything it could through the dense canopy above him. Oberyn looked to the sky, took a deep breath and smiled. It was days like this he treasured most of all.He walked silently through the forest, stepping carefully as to make sure not to step on any twigs and reveal his presence to any of the animals near him. He grabbed hold of the base of a tree and hoisted himself up, climbing as high as he could before the canopy became too thick. He rested on a large branch of the tree, scanning the forest. He surveyed quietly, making sure not to breath too loudly. The only noises that could be heard were the small sounds of the animals scurrying about, or feeding and the pleasant breeze rustling the leafs. After several minutes of surveying, he spotted a deer peacefully drinking from a spring. Oberyn gripped the branch with his thighs and turned himself upside down.
He drew back his bow and exhaled slowly, "I am sorry my friend. Thank you for your sacrifice", he whispered just before firing his arrow.
The arrow struck the deer in the the heart, causing it to let out a silent scream and quickly drop to the floor. Oberyn released his grip on the branch and fell to the floor, moving his way to the deer. He slowly removed the arrow and set it back into his quiver. He ran his hand over the deer's head and closed his eyes.
"Your death will not be forgotten...", he said while hoisting the deer onto his back and heading for the forest's exit.
He walked quickly through the forest, holding tightly onto the deer. As usual, taking a life was weighing on him. Although it was only a deer and it was going to be used to feed the soldiers of the Royal Guard, he still felt regret for his actions. He sighed, shutting his eyes tightly and shaking his head. He knew that he was being silly and in a few hours he would have moved past this feeling. Taking the life of an animal was something he had learned to live with, unlike taking the life of people. He was able to recall the face of every person he had killed, even though some of them were hundreds of years old. It had been many years since he was forced to kill, but Oberyn had the sense that would soon not be the case. With the coming danger, he feared that he would soon be forced to kill again and could only pray that he was wrong.
He exited the forest and stood still, gazing up at the castle that was now his home. "Better hurry and get back, dinner is only a few hours away", he said with a smile as he started on his way back to the castle.
