Playable Race Info
Humans are most notable for being the chosen race of the Goddess Hylia, made in her image. While most other races have evolved to appear similarly humanoid, humans are mostly of fair skin and thrive in large communities. While they do not possess any special assets, they are highly regarded by all other races in terms of status and their origin.
An aquatic race, they once appeared as fish people with fins and gills alike, but over time they have evolved into a more humanoid state, looking incredibly similar to humans, although their skin is more pale. Their hair iscommonly blue, white, or black. Because of their state of living, Zora are able to breathe underwater and can swim much faster than humans. While most Zora appear humanoid in this day and age, it is possible for others to look as their ancestors used to.
A race that was once made of stone, the Gorons have evolved to become much more humanoid, though their skin is a bit darker than most humans. Because of their diet of earthy choices, and because of their settlement being mostly in volcanic or mountainous areas, they are resistant to heat and their skin is much more tough than most, acting as an armor on its own.
The Sheikah, also known as the Shadow Folk are a mysterious and secretive tribe with pointed ears, red eyes and shadowy magic abilities. They are the chosen guardians of the goddess Hylia and later the protectors of thedescendants of her mortal incarnation, the Royal Family of Hyrule. They are also the founders of Kakariko Village, which would become one of the main settlements of Hyrule. While there are not many left in the world, the ones who still live are known to have incredibly long life spans. Legend has it that many can live for over a thousand years and only begin to age once they have grown over five centuries. Because of this, they may be the last living beings to remember a time where a hero was needed.
**SHEIKAH MAY START OUT WITH TWO FREE COMMON SPELLS.**
The Gerudo are a race of humans inhabiting Hyrule. They are warriors of reputation, feared and respected in the countries they inhabit. Due to a biological quirk, the race consists almost solely of females. A single male Gerudo isborn into the tribe every hundred years. He is destined by Gerudo law to become their king. The Gerudo as they have thus far appeared hold the following looks: round ears, a sharp bird-like nose, brown skin, amber eyes and red hair.
The Kokiri are small child-like beings that inhabit the Kokiri Forest, as they compromise the land there with planted houses on its acres and within its borders. The Kokiri live peacefully under the protection of their patron deity, theGreat Deku Tree. The Great Deku Tree grants each Kokiri a Fairy, which watches over the Kokiri. The Kokiri are anageless race that takes the form of human children. Like Hylians, they possess long, pointed ears. Despite their agelessness, Kokiri are still mortal beings that may be killed. It was said that the Kokiri die if they leave the forest.
The Twili are descendants of a tribe of sorcerers of unknown ethnicity referred to as Dark Interlopers, who eons ago were condemned to the Twilight Realm by the Golden Goddesses of Hyrule as punishment for their misgoverned attempt to use magic to claim the Triforce. Their "old magic" became known as the Fused Shadows, a powerful instrument. However, during their failed attempt to conquer the Sacred Realm, their Fused Shadow was split into four pieces and scattered throughout the two realms, The Twilight Realm and Hyrule. The tribe lived and evolved in the Twilight Realm for centuries in isolation, mere shadows of what they once were, as over time they grew used to their surroundings and came to accept their fate. They appear to have blue skin, yellow eyes, and often have black, white, or orange hair, though it may have changed overtime due to mutation.
**TWILI MAY START OUT WITH FOUR COMMON SPELLS.**
Serving as a bridge between the Sacred Realm and Hyrule, guarding the Master Sword's power and executing those who pose a high threat to Hyrule are included with their duties, leaving their purpose to best be described as protectors of the kingdom. This puts them among the most important of its heroes' allies, however rarely without price. The Sages often only take on these roles upon being "awakened" during a time that they are required, their role predetermined through a spiritual lineage or bloodline connecting them to a past Sage. Throughout Hyrule's history, Sages have been abducted and killed to prevent them from uniting their powers against evildoers. In such cases, only the Hero of Legends has what it takes to save them or find and awaken the new Sages to aid him in return. Each sage is represented by an element - earth, water, fire, shadow, spirit, and light. They have the abilities to bless others as well as enchant weapons.
**SAGES MAY START WITH 2 UNCOMMON SPELLS OR 4 COMMON. ALL SAGES AT THIS POINT MUST BE AWAKENED DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE PAST EVENTS.**
