Sealing the Temple - MISSION

Post by Zelda on Mon Feb 23, 2015 7:43 pm

Mission Name: Sealing the Temple
Mission Rank: Amateur
Location: Temple of Time
Description: Zelda will be putting extra protection within the Temple of Time, ensuring that no one may pass through without authorization. Reading from a book of spells, she will be setting specific charms over the door that leads to the sacred realm.
Requirements: 750 words
Player Count: 1
Reward: 50k and 75 EXP
Word Count: 750 Words
Mission Boss: No

There were many duties for the royal family, and while this was something that she was knew to, this was a specific duty for the princess, herself.

Finding out that she was the reincarnated Goddess was not what had surprised Zelda the most - it was that she was also a sage. This meant that it was her duty to make sure that the Temple of Time was protected at all costs. Why? Because the Sealed Realm depended on this protection. If anyone were to somehow make their way into the temple and crack the seal - they would have access to the most powerful weapon in the world - The Triforce. And while the triforce seemed to be broken up into three separate pieces for the time being... its major presence of power was still enabled within the realm.

The pieces were virtually useless in the world the Light unless brought to unity. The pieces, separated could only have power if activated within the sacred realm. Zelda had to make sure that Ganondorf... nor anyone for that matter had any access to such power.

As Zelda had made her way into the temple, the echoes of her heels clicking against the tiled floor resonated in her ears. With a large book tightly gripped in her arms, the princess took a deep breath, approaching the altar of the temple with care. This temple was the only temple that was still in use for worship - the others were flooded with creatures and traps from all the years prior of abandonment, though the powers held deep within were remaining dormant, protected by the sages.

A Sage of Time. That was a very loose term for what the Princess was. Associated with the Goddess Nayru, who was often considered the goddess of Love, Wisdom, and Time. Fluid and patient, just like the Goddess Hylia. Just like Zelda. It was weird to think about. Setting the book down on the altar, the princess opened it up to the page where it described sealing the temple at its utmost protection. Quickly reaching into the pocket of her cloak, she then revealed a holy artifact of the family - the Ocarina.

There was a song she had to perform. The Song of Time - the song that echoed through many legends. This was the very ocarina her ancestors had used... the very ocarina that the Legendary Hero of Time had to use. These doors had opened and closed for them so many times before, and now here she was - making sure they were sealed once more, 600 years later.

As she took a deep breath, Zelda closed her eyes, bringing the ocarina to her lips as she began to play, the song of time echoing through the great hall. As she finished playing the last note, a light appeared from the inside of the Sealed Doors, to which she quickly then flipped to the next page, repeating the words that were within the book. "Efas mlaer eht peek dna elpmet eht laes!" Repeating this over and over, she raised her hands to the ceiling, commanding it with all her might.

As the sealed doors continued to grow, with each word she spoke,  the glow intensified. Immediately looking down the pages of the book as she continued to repeat the words it directed her too, she then took her hands, holding them out, spreading them toward the walls as she separated her fingers, now chanting a new spell as her hands began to glow with a golden aura. Getting louder with each chant, the glow intensified as she then brought her hands back up to the sealing.

"Seal thyself! And do not open until the spirit of the hero has stood before  you with finished trials!" she then commanded loudly, jolting her hands forward as the golden light flashed from her hands to the door, spreading all around it and causing the altar to rumble violently. Suddenly, the stones of Din, Farore, and Nayru that sat still upon the altar's surface seemed to fade within it, disappearing. The door was unable to open without them, so they would only show themselves once the hero appeared.

As the light within the room disappeared, Zelda let out a short breath in relief. It was done. The temple had been sealed to its fullest ability. Looking around quietly as the smallest amount of noise she made seemed to echo behind, she closed the book slowly and gripped it once more against her chest, hugging it as she continued to watch the door for a long moment. She could rest a bit easier now, knowing the Triforce would be safe.

Turning a heel, she immediately stepped off of the altar, walking toward the main doors that led to the outside world of Hyrule. Now she could focus on more important things, like her training and finding the hero, wherever he may be. She only hoped that things would be a bit easier now. Hopefully the seal would hold until the time was right and that the hero would pass all of the trials in time for him to reveal himself to the doors of the Temple. It would be a moment of truth as the sword revealed itself to him.
